Why is it interesting to remove the DTC mode from your car?

As a DSC (Dynamic Stability Control) degraded mode, the DTC is a system that has been designed to help your vehicle advance better in difficult situations such as snow, ice, sand, mud, and even when your tires are equipped with chains. Nevertheless, in normal times this mode tends to skate your car and destabilize it. Therefore, it is essential to remove the DTC to be able to drive comfortably.

What is the DSC Mode?

In order to understand how the DTC mode works, it is imperative to understand the role of the DSC. The latter is an electronic process that aims to identify the possible risks of skidding and slipping of the vehicle.

Thus, when the DSC is activated, it makes it possible to remedy these defects by braking the wheels in a rapid stop-and-go manner and by limiting the motor power of the car. In the event of a dangerous situation, it can even completely immobilize the vehicle.

What Is The Purpose Of Deleting the DTC Mode?

When driving on slippery roads, such as ice or snow, the instability of the vehicle is likely to lead to significant slippage requiring the DSC to reduce the power of the engine resulting in the driver losing control of the vehicle.

On the other hand, if you remove the DTC mode, your car automatically switches to DSC mode. In this case, it is able to detect the moments when the curves of the road are intense and brakes to straighten the trajectory of the car for better stability. That said, it’s worth noting that you can activate DTC mode when your car is struggling to move forward. In other cases, it must be removed.
