MAF Removal

Our engineers can remove your MAF in the ECU map of your car. In some case it is very usefull to achieve complete power on special cars. (i.e some porsche 650HP++…)

ARE YOU WONDERING WHY YOUR CAR ENGINE IS WORSE AFTER CLEANING THE MAF SENSOR?

WHAT IS THE MAF SENSOR AND HOW DOES IT WORK?

The MAF sensor, or mass airflow sensor, is a device that measures the amount and temperature of air entering your engine. The MAF sensor is located between the air filter and the engine’s intake manifold.

The MAF sensor sends a signal to your car’s computer (PCM), which uses the information to calculate the amount of fuel to inject into the engine. The PCM also uses the MAF sensor signal to adjust ignition timing, transmission shifting, and other engine functions. The MAF sensor helps your car run smoothly, powerfully, and efficiently.

The MAF sensor operates using a small electrically heated wire (hot wire) and a temperature sensor. When the engine is idling, a small amount of air flows over the hot wire, requiring a low electrical current to keep the wire hot. When you press the accelerator pedal, more air flows over the hot wire, cooling it down. The more air that flows over the wire, the more electrical current is needed to keep it hot. The electrical current is proportional to the airflow. The temperature sensor measures the air temperature near the hot wire. The MAF sensor uses a small electronic chip to convert the electrical current and temperature into a digital signal, which is sent to the PCM.

WHY DOES MY MAF SENSOR NEED TO BE CLEANED?

The MAF sensor is exposed to the air entering your engine, which can contain dust, dirt, oil, and other contaminants. Over time, these contaminants can accumulate on the hot wire and temperature sensor, affecting their performance.

A DIRTY MAF SENSOR CAN CAUSE VARIOUS PROBLEMS SUCH AS:

  1. Rough or irregular idling
  2. Lack of power or poor acceleration
  3. Difficult starting or no-start condition
  4. Lag or hesitation
  5. Poor fuel economy or increased emissions
  6. Check engine light or service engine soon light

To prevent or resolve these problems, the MAF sensor should be cleaned regularly. Cleaning the MAF sensor can restore its accuracy and improve your car’s performance and efficiency.

IN CONCLUSION:

The MAF sensor is an important part of your car that measures the airflow and air temperature entering your engine. The MAF sensor can get dirty over time and cause various problems, such as rough idling, lack of power, poor fuel economy, or a check engine light.
